Having a master in philosophy (Gent State University) and sculpture (Sint-Lucas Brussels), I started working in social and development organisations. Deeply committed to social causes and North-South solidarity, I became involved working in developing countries. In 2006 I arrived in Haïti to work with the local communications agency Alterpresse, where I started my filmmaking career as an autodidact.
