Malik Amara has been trained at Louis Lumière school, Femis University and Arts and Cinema school of Tunis. He has worked as a camaraman and a director on television. His experience on centering and in direction has helped him in cinema in which domain he has worked a lot. He has directed inter alia "Un documentaire : L'ange de barbarie" (2001), and two short films : "La chaise" (200) and "Le poisson noyé" (2007)
