D-WA, whose real name is Berthe Tanwo Njole, is a young Belgian singer / actress originally from Cameroon. At the age of 10, she began studying music. Indeed, her mother enrolled her at the academy of music in waterloo. Very quickly, singing attracts her.
Thanks to her sister, Nicole, she passes from the academy to the Arts and Entertainment School called "Mouvement". She began to make her classes in various venues in Brussels.
One thing leading to another, D-WA begins to integrate several bands where she juggles between the lead vocal and choir. In 2003, coinciding with the end of her studies (she earned a Bachelor in Advertising), her exploration of the musical world starts. Within a few years, D-WA has performed in Belgium (Dour, Polé Polé, Jam in Jette, etc ...), Morocco (El'Boulevard Festival), Italy (Mini tour with Mika), France (« Tremplin des artistes » where she won the audience award) and Luxemburg (Marticot Festival). But it does not stop there! Indeed, in 2009, the young woman embarks on comedy and drama. She participated in two short films ( ??Tout le monde a des raisons d?en vouloir à sa
mère?? recently selected to the Pan-African International Film Festival in Cannes 2010 and ??Pour l?honneur??), a play (Le fléau ) and a musical (Le rêve d?Elya) . Because D-WA is driven by her passion for music, theater and film, she continues to renew herself. An artist of many talents ...
