Along the Dades river at the base of the Grand Atlas, we can find numerous oases where multiple casbahs are reunited. Originally, those casbahs were a means for the ksours to live independently from the community, especially for rich people. They therefore go down the valley and build pyramidal houses in order to prevent the collapse of the walls. Those houses, very spacious, contain four floors, including one reserved to guests with a private staircase.
