Three cheikhates tell the story of the golden age of a despised art that is soon to be lost. These women, pioneer artists in Morocco, are both the most loved women and the most marginalized, all for one reason: their freedom. Outspoken and free of morals, many generations of cheikhates have sung to evoke women's conditions, and to defend their freedom of speech as well as their freedom of morals.
