Being the daughter of internationally renowned artist, Jill Walker, Sue was continually asked, "So do you paint?"  Well, with her two daughters now older, and things a little less hectic in her life.  Sue is indeed painting and loves it!  Working in oils on her gallery dining table, she is often joined by her eldest daughter, Holly, who is already an accomplished artist at age 17!  Of course, Sue's parents are thrilled to see the continuation within the family and delight in giving advice and encouragement.
Sue works full time in the family business Best of Barbados Gift Shops with her husband Chris Trew.  The business was founded by Sue's parents in 1975 and sells things "made or designed in Barbados".  Many of the products feature Jill Walker's designs and they support a large number of local crafts persons whose work meets their high standard of quality and design.  Sue has begun to introduce her art to the Best of Barbados stores and reserves the right to reproduce any of her paintings as prints or high quality giftware.
Sue is the youngest of three daughters and was born in Barbados after her parents settled there in the 1950's.  She did her primary education in Barbados and her secondary education in Scotland, from where her father originates.  She originally trained in Hotel and Catering Management and worked for a while in the U.K.  Cold winters and a desire for a change of lifestyle brought her and her husband back to Barbados in 1990 where they joined the family business and have lived ever since.
