These live portraits of the new wave of immigrants in the US are lively, warm, critical sometimes. They have brand new passports. Sometimes they've waited a very long time, but they have never lost hope: one day, America would be their new home. Vietnamese refugees from concentration camps, Nicaraguans in exile, Pakistanis, Koreans, Mexicans, Egyptian, Russians, Laotians... They haven't all given up their own customs and hold onto their roots in an often touching way.
