SYNOPSIS
Jerusalem's airport, occupied by the Israeli army since 1967, is five km from Ramallah and 10 km from Jerusalem. Today, to the east of the runway, a military checkpoint blocks the road that links Jerusalem and Ramallah, creating a dead end. Nahed Awwad discovers that what was previously frequented by commercial airliners has since become a sinister place. It was during the 50s and 60s that Palestinians could travel freely. Happy images and testimonies from the past bitterly contrast with a present dominated by barbed wire.
